Clarksburg Contactors, founder Gerald Abercrombie, opened for business in 1954. Since then it has always been our corporate mission to support the local communities who have made this business successful. Becoming a member of the Thornbury Clarksburg Rotary Club in those early days, Mr. Abercrombie has given thousands of hours of community service to date, eventually attaining a Paul Harris Fellowship in 1985 - the Rotary’s highest member distinction.
Now retired and an octogenarian, Gerald is actively involved in Rotary, and drives patients to various doctor appointments within Collingwood, Barrie, London and Toronto.
Over half a century later, Michael Abercrombie, Gerald’s son, continues to recognize the importance of the community both locally and abroad by contributing regularly over the years to support community hospitals, athletic associations, and charities both locally and world wide through the Shelter Box Program, giving people shelter and tools after losing everything.
